What Are The Common Issues With The 2KD-FTV Engine?
The 2KD-FTV is typically known as a reliable engine when regularly maintained.
Common issues with these engines come from poor maintenance.
Due to being a cast iron engine block it is important to maintain the cooling system with regular coolant & coolant hose changes.
These engines also suffer from intake contamination such as dust etc so regularly changing the air filter & maintaining the PCV system when servicing avoids the engine consuming dirty air which will result in engine failures.
All 2KD-FTV engines are carefully assembled by one technician from start to finish.
