What Are The Common Issues Of The VK56VD Engine?
The VK56VD Engine is widely considered to be reliable when properly maintained.
Alot of common issues are easily avoided by servicing on time, changing engine coolant & PCV hoses regularly along with coolant changes.
These engines are also typically sensitive to cheap quality fuel! Most cases of detonation issues are a result of cheap fuel & lack of fuel filter maintenance which creates larger issues.
Timing Chains on these engines are very susceptible to failure if not replaced on time due to stretched chain & a worn tensioner! When rebuilding these engines replace the timing kit with Genuine Parts!
