*Please Note: Although we stock these engines, your engine must be inspected prior to providing a changeover engine.
What Are The Common Issues With The 1HD-FTE Engine?
The 1HD-FTE Engine is potentially one of the most reliable diesel engines on the market. As with all engines this is assuming it has been regularly maintained at the correct service intervals.
A common issue with these engines is the timing belt not being replaced on time. Due to it being a belt rather than a chain it runs the risk of snapping the actual belt causing catastrophic failure which is costly to repair.
When rebuilding these engines we use OEM Timing Belts! Avoid cheap knock off alternatives on the market!
We strongly recommend replacing the engine coolant & PCV hoses during your regular maintenance to avoid failure resulting in overheating or worse.
All engines are carefully assembled by one technician from start to finish.
